Beer Festival - with Live Music
from 'Remedy'
The beer was tapped, settled and
chilled, awaiting for the first customers to appear. a couple of
early starters, and all went well in the morning.
Terry 'the birthday boy' Howe
turned up, no real ale for him - just Guinness (oh and a squashed
frog for good measure). Then the bugger started on my single malts -
people have been barred for less!!!!!! His mate from Plymouth stuck
to the real ales, he's welcome back any time.
9 real ales, 6 of which were drawn
straight from the keg. We found these to be very popular. Ginger
Tosser was one of the most popular, not sure why?
The Band turned up, and set up
their gear. A quick sound check which blow me away, and they then
kicked off at about 10.30pm. The first set was played until 11.30,
and we all agreed the band was very good and Amy could sing very
well. But this was an understatement for the second set. The tempo
was increased and we were all gob-smacked. Zombie, a Cranberries
cover, was unreal. It was like listening to the real band.
The only down side to the show,
was the turn out. We had a good crowd and everyone at the gig had a
brilliant night. But Holsworthy was very quite, everyone's thinks
the flue was to blame.
They will be back soon. Lets hope
more people turn up.
Thanks to Remedy for coming out on
a cold frosty night and warming us all up. We all had a superb
night.
A quick 'Happy Birthday' to Eddie
Pops. His birthday was on Thursday but we all celebrated it on the
Friday night.
Abby started Friday night, (throw her in at the deep end. edd)

Everyone liked her,
and her bum for some reason. Anyway she will be with us for a couple
of shifts a week. Oh, a quick QA. She's not single, yes she
does have a younger sister, but she's getting married in a couple of
months.
Cheers edd. |
